The true me

Take this test!
You are driven by a higher purpose than most people. You have a deeply-rooted desire to facilitate peacefulness in the world. Whether through subtle interactions with love ones, or through getting involved in social causes, it is important to you to influence the world.

You are driven by a desire to encourage others to think about the positive side of things instead of focusing on the negative. The reason your unconscious is consumed by this might stem from an innate fear of war and turmoil. Thus, to avoid that uncomfortable place for you, your unconscious seeks out the peace in your environment.

Usually, the thing that underlies this unconscious drive is a deep respect for humankind. You care about the future of the world, even beyond your own involvement in it. As a result, your personal integrity acts as a surrogate for your deeper drive toward peace and guides you in daily life towards decisions that are respectful toward yourself and others.

Girls Night!

Here are some picture from our girls night out. We ate at Chili's and then went to Laughs Comedy Club. Here is my cousin's wives. Traci and Brandi Hawks.

Here we are getting ready for a good laugh, but sad to say they weren't very funny. We got up and left in the middle of his act.

The people behind us were really getting into it. I think they had one to many drinks.

Aniela

I feel like all my posts are about Areya so this one is all about Aniela.

Aniela is 10 months now and finally getting teeth. On Sunday I noticed that her first tooth is breaking the skin. She now thinks that baby food is not good enough for her and refuses to eat it, which makes it really hard to feed her. One tooth just breaking the skin does not really cut it when it comes to eating real food.

Here she is in the car seat. I thought it was cute the way she had her hand

She is turning into such a daddy's girl. Here she is playing with Damian on the floor. She was putting her foot up and Damian was pretending to bite it. She was laughing like crazy. I can't belive how fast they grow. It feels like I had her only a few months ago, not 10! She has been walking around using any and everything she can reach. I think she wants to walk but is to much of a chicken to let go.
Here she is jammin with Tata. Oh wait, it's not plugged into any thing. I guess when you're a baby you dance to the beat of your own drum. She does love to listen to music and dance that is why she thinks it is so fun to have them on.

Well i could go on for ever talking about her but i've caught you up on the most recent so I stop for now. Thanks for checking out our blog and finiding out what we've been up to. We love reading your comments so feel free to leave some below.

Valentine's cookies

Areya was invited to a Zoe's (a friend from preschool) hosue to make cookies. Here they all are cutting out the cookies. Here's Zoe's mom Melissa, her neighbor friend Jane and Areya getting ready to put the cookies in the oven.
Here they all are with their finished cookies. As you can see from Areya's face she could not wait and had a mouth full of cookie.
They had so much fun that it was hard getting Areya go home. Is not like she would see Zoe in less then 30 minutes at preschool, but to make her understand that was....... well she is 4.

She had so much fun! Thanks for inviting us over!

Boxes everywhere!

You may be wondering how moving is going? Well, let’s see what we have over here ← ?

Oh, look boxes! I bet you would have never guessed.

And over here ← we have? More boxes!
You never know how much crap you have until it's time to move. If I never have to move again I would totally be ok with that! I forgot how much work it is to move.
Last night Brandi, my cousin's wife, came over to help my pack which was a huge help. We could have gotten so much more done if we would've just stopped talking and started to pack, but were girls and that's what we do.
We are about 75 % packed but have not started to move any thing into the storage unit yet, so we still have a lot to do.
I guess I had better stop talking and get packing.

What should I be when I grow up?

You Should Be a Social Worker

You are deeply caring and empathetic.
You are able to take on other people's problems as if they were your own.
Sensitive and intuitive, you understand human emotions well.
Helping others gives you the most joy in life. You feel like it's your purpose in life.

You do best when you:

- Have a lot of responsibility
- Greatly impact someone's life with your work

You would also be a good philanthropist or stay at home parent.

What do you think of my new do?

What do ya think?
I have been, as you all know from my poll, thinking about cutting my hair. I went with the everyones vote and layered it. I also had a friend add some color. I just can't bring myself to chopping it off even though I think it would be a fun and different look for me.
Please let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas. I would love to hear them.

Lunch anyone?

Now I know why 4 year olds are not big enough to make their own food.

Today Areya and I were pretending that she was the mommy and I was the child. She wanted to make me lunch so I thought I would let her try and see what happens. I got a peanut butter, beet and cheese sandwich. Now that's good eating. (it was really gross) Aniela ended up eating most of it. She does not really care what she eats as long as you keep it coming.

I am really proud of Areya for trying it all by her self. She even gave me a glass of juice to go with my lunch. She is such a good little mommy.
