Weeeeeeeeee.........Sledding

We were invited up to the Hawks "cabin" to go sledding with my cousin Heston, his wife Brandi and their two boys Deklan and Dallin. My brother Tj, Shaylee his wife and their puppy Sadie also came up, and we can't forget cousin Joshie with his dog Brutus.

After sledding we went inside for some dinner, Areya and Deklan were connected at the hip, the boys played xbox while the girls chatted.

Look how cute! Areya and her second cousin Deklan are walking back up the hill.

This was Areya's first time sledding. She LOVED IT! I had the haredest time talking her into going inside. She would have stayed out side all night if she could have. She loves the snow.

Areya loves playing with Deklan and is so excited to get to live at his house for a while. To bad Brandi and I are not as excited. There will be non stop noise for a month! We better get ourselves some really good ear plugs.

Here is Brandi and Dallin getting ready to go out in to the cold.

This is Heston taking on the hill.

Tj and Shaylee had a go at the hill next. I think they ended up crashing at the bottom. By the look on Shaylee's face she did not know what she was in for when she agreed to go. Better her then me!

We really did have a lot of fun, thanks for inviting us!

My Dream

Last night I had a dream about Damian and I wanted to share it with you.

I was in Hawaii doing a scuba diving class and one of the instructors came to me and told me that there was an accident at the Airport and Damian was involved. So I drove to the Airport and they told me that Damian was checking a man's bag and told him that he was not allowed to take something on the airplane. The man was in a hurry and wanted Damian to just let it slide.

(I don't know how well any of you know my husband but he is full of some really smart a** comments)

They told me that Damian made one of theses comments to the man, the man warned Damian that he did not like the way he was being talked to. Well Damian being Damian said some thing smart again. They told me that the man pulled out a gun and shot Damian. They said that he did not make it and wanted me to go look at his body to conform that it was him. I was totally freaking out! I kept thinking "what am I suppose to do now?" So I went to see the body but when I got there I could not bring my self to look. I remember feeling so sick and worried.

Not long after I woke up. Damian went into work today even though it is his day off. So when I woke up I called him to make sure he was alright and tell him about my dream. His response "That's so cool. I hope I get shot." "But I want to live." WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM? No one in their right mind wants to get shot!!! Sometimes I really wonder about him.

We sold our house!

We found out today that they accepted our last counter offer. So our house sold in just over a month, which is great and we got our full asking price which is even better. According to the papers they want to close on Feb 28th so we will have to be out by then.

Talking to Damian it looks like we are for sure going to be moving to Illinois. He is talking to one of his friends over there and getting the name of an agent so we can go look at houses in the next few weeks. We might end up living with him for a while until we find and buy a house.

So now I guess it is time to start packing. You may think that I am starting a bit early but I have 6 years worth of stuff to go through. I have to decide what to take and what to get rid of. I know that we will not be taking a lot of stuff so I will let you know when and what we are selling or giving away. Everyone loves free stuff!

We are also planning a going away party at our house. We have not worked out the details yet but everyone is invited. I really hope to see you all before we move. I think that we will be able to come back and visit at least 2 to 3 times a year. You are all invited to come stay with us, in Illinois, anytime. We should have more then enough room and I know I will need all the love and support I can get. I'm going to be very very home sick!!

HuSbAnD tAg!

1- What is his name? Damian Deja he was not given a middle name.

2-How long have you been married? 6 years 3 months

4-How old is he? 28

5-Who eats more? Defiantly Damian. No contest!

6-Who said I love you first? Me, he would not say it until he knew I felt the same way.

7-Who is smarter? Depends which subject. I think I have more common sense.

8-Whose temper is worse? I think that Damian's is, but I'm not one to be messed with.

Where should we move?

Our poll results are in. It looks like California wins, next was Hawaii. We still have no idea where to move. So who know where in the world we will end up. Damian is applying for a job with his dad's company, which means he would be working in Brazil. His brother offered him a job working in Poland, and his friend has offered him a job working in Chicago. He can also transfer to any airport in the U.S. working for TSA, which is his current job. So now I guess it will be decided by which job he wants more.

As for our house. We had a family come over on Friday and look at it and there is another group coming today. The family on Friday are very interested and are waiting for their agent to get back from vacation to put an offer on it. So maybe, hopefully, it will sell. The problem we are facing is that if it sells too soon we will have no where to go. Damian was not really planning to move until March and so he has not picked a location yet. We will have to find somewhere to live for a few months. Where? I have no clue.

Anyone want a 4 year old?

Today my little monster managed to pick up her baby sister and throw her head first into the side of the futon. Look at her poor little head.
I have no clue why on Earth they call it the terrible two's because two was great, three was hard but FOUR! Four is horrible! If five is this hard I might be selling her to the zoo. Right now I would give her away. I might be asking for her back in a few weeks but at this very moment she's all yours. I might even pay you to take her.

Any way we went to the doctor to make sure her head was alright and that she did not have a concussion. The nurse told me "don't worry because babies bounce". That did not make me feel much better, but the doctor look at her and said that she was fine and that it would take a few weeks but the bruise would fade. I guess unless the child is vomiting or loss conscious then a head injury is nothing to worry about.

Why, you may ask, did this happened? Well Aniela had one of Areya's papers from preschool that was left in her reach and Areya would not stand for that. Instead of picking up the papers and moving them she decided to pick up Aniela and move her.
So my question is how do you make a child understand what she did wrong and punish her without punishing yourself? I explained to her why I was putting her in time out and that she hurt her sister. I also explained this is why it is important that she does not pick up the baby.
I'm not sure if after all that she understood that this is a big deal. So again how do you punish her without punishing yourself? What I mean by this is, if you take away her toys, outside and t.v. time, what does she do? The answer, get into trouble because she is board out of her stinking mind.
So after all this you might wonder what I did. Well the only way I could think of working this out was to not let her watch t.v. or movies. She is not allowed to play outside or with toys for two days. What she can do though is read books or color. I don't know how well it will stand up because you can only read books and color for so long. I hope that after all is said and done she will understand why I tell her to leave her sister alone.
If anyone have any other ideas I would love to hear them.

Snow... Snow.... Snow.....

Areya loves all this snow we have been getting. Not me I hate it! I hate driving in it, I hate shoveling it and I hate how stinking cold it has been. If it would only snow in the mountains I would be a very happy mommy. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the activities that come along with the snow but I prefer to go to the snow then have it come to me.

If it was up to Areya it would snow all day everyday all winter long. She loves it. Even when she is soaking wet and freezing she won't come in.

This was her first snowoman of the year. She is funny because it always has to be a girl. I tried talking her into building a husband for her snowoman but she said no because boys are stinky. She wanted to build a snow doggy instead.

This was Aniela's first time experiencing all the snow. She hated it! She cried the whole time we were outside. I could not even put her down to let her explore. Maybe next time she'll have a better time.

If we end up moving to Chicago we will have to worry about the snow but also the bitter cold there. I hear that it is very windy and very cold in the winter. I might get lucky and we'll move some where warm. I love the sun! I could have it 80 all year round and be happy.

Home for sale!

Home for sale! Do you know anyone looking for a house in the Clearfield area? We are trying to sell our home by March. So far we have not had much luck. We've had a lot of people come look at it but still no offers. If we don't sell it by March we might have to rent it out until it sells. We really don't want to do that because we will be in another state and not around to take care of things.

The house had 3 bedrooms and 2 1/5 baths. It has a double shed with a workbench and lots of extra storage. The yard is fully fenced with a play house and sand box in the back. It also has a 2 car garage and an extra family room upstairs. To see more pictures and information you can go to the site below.

We got our first offer today, but had to turn it down. It dose not feel like we will ever sell our house. I guess I need to give it more time. It has only been on the market for less than a month. It's just hard to play the waiting game. I don't want to move out of state but Damian really hates Utah. He keeps talking about moving to Hawaii, which would be way cool, but is to far away from family and very expensive. His next pick is Chicago. I was hoping to move somewhere a bit closer to Utah. I guess we will see in March.
Jan 17
We got another offer on our house yesterday. It is a really great offer. We are going back and forth on how much of the closing costs we'll pay. We will know for sure by tomorrow. If it all works out it looks like we will be moving at the end of Feb to the middle of March as planned. Damian has still not made up his mind about where we will be moving so that is still a mystery?
Jan 18th
So it is official. They accepted our last counter offer. Our house sold in just over a month. Which is great and we got our full asking price which is even better. Talking to Damian it looks like we will be moving to Chicago for sure. He is talking to one of his friends that live there and is getting a hold of a agent over so we can go look at houses. The papers said we will need to be out by Feb 28th. That is if it only takes the month to process everything.

2008 is here!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
We never really do much for New Years, we stay home, invite friends over, watch movies, and eat junk food, but this year we went a Polish party in SLC.
I guess the Polish people that live in the SLC area have a party ever year and so Damian wanted to go and meet his people. I thought it would be a fun experience and a chance to get out with out kids.

They had food, dancing, and games. You would think they would serve Polish food at a Polish party, right? Well they didn't, but it was really good. They had a mix of American and Polish music so it made it easier for me to understand and dance to. The only part of the night that was hard for me to enjoy was when people came up to us and started speaking Polish. I had no clue what they were talking about and I felt dumb when one guy asked me a question and I did not even know it. Damian let him know that I did not speak Polish.

Ida and I went dress shopping and got our hair done. We had a lot of fun getting all dressed up. Damian even shaved, which is a miracle, and wore a tie. Damian and I have never danced with each other except at our wedding were we danced to one song. He is so much taller then me it was a little hard but we made it work. I need to grow a few more inches, which will never happen, or something. All and all we had a great time and hope that your New Years was great too.

OUR STORY

I guess the first thing to tell you all is our story. How we met and what we are doing now. Most of you know that Damian is from Poland but some don't know how and why he came to Utah. So here it is.

I had just moved back home from school in Provo and decided to work at Lagoon for another summer. It would be my 5th season there and I was working as a supervisor in Pioneer Village. This was the first year we were sponsoring students from other countries to come and work for us. Lagoon needed some supervisors to stay at the dorms as their representatives and I volunteered and moved up to the campus.

Damian and his brother Adrian signed up to come to the United States for the summer but were late turning in their papers. The only spots left were in Utah, so that is why they came here. His brother got a position in foods and he in rides. Damian was trained on the rides in the north end of the park.

It was not until the middle of June that we met. He was sitting in the commons area at the dorms and I was visiting one of the other supervisors in that building. We started to talk and ended up talking almost all night long. The next night was the same we talked and talked like we had known each other forever. We started hanging out on our days off and spare time. I took him and some of his friend to the Great Salt Lake and to to Pineview to go jet skiing. We went rock climbing with my brother and went dancing at the club. It was fun getting to know him and the other students from Poland.

At the end of August his contract with Lagoon was finished. He now had 2 months to travel before he had to go back to Poland and school. He and his friends decided to go to Chicago for the rest of their time in the U.S. We exchanged numbers and he left. I was so sad when he left, feeling that we would never see each other again. After 3 days he called, It was a very long bus ride, and we talked every night. He told me that while on the bus he kept thinking about me and he realized then that he had feeling for me. So what do we do now? I knew I loved him and he knew he loved me, but he was scheduled to go home in less then 2 months. Then one night while talking on the phone we decided to get married. I was so happy! He will be flying back to Utah on the first of October and we would be married on October 27, 2001.

We have been married just over 6 years and have a house in Clearfield. We have been blessed with two beautiful girls. Areya Mae born September 23, 2003 and Aniela born April 7, 2007. They are the joy of our lives.
